I have not had any pictures of the new solar electric array in Sarasota but I have found some on the Get Empowered web site -- It was a day long conference at New College that featured among others Amory Lovins -- mister Natural Capitalism and a great speaker. It's just so simple when you listen to him.... WSLR News

Good to see a picture of what it is I'm paying for (I'm a participant in the Sunshine Energy program)... been meaning to find out where it is and snap some pics.

When did you post this? Can't see a date anywhere...

I pay extra for green energy also .... I was not out there myself but would real like to go - not sure it is open to the public??

Sunshine Energy Newsletter for Earth Day

The array was made possible by the more than 37,000 FPL residential customers participating in the Sunshine Energy renewable energy program. The 250 kilowatt FPL Sunshine Energy Solar Array at Rothenbach Park converts sunlight into clean electricity, and will prevent the release of more than 654,000 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere each year. That’s as much CO2 pollution as 39,000 trees absorb in a year!
