Hi all,
This is Laura Morton here, the chair of the Economic Development Corps, "Natural Capitalism Seminar Initiative". For those of you that attended the session on February 22, 2006 or those that heard about it, you know that it was a very special day. We built an exciting, energetic day on the foundation of years of work (See the "History of the Sustainability Movement) and hope to show the whole country how Sarasota is doing natural capitalism. Tons of people have been emailing me and also Michael Kinsley at Rocky Mountain Institute, and what we need to do is "unbottleneck" our communications and release all this energy to the community (it's the natural capitalist thing to do -- use our human capital).
Joe Moraca, the President of the Coalition of City Neighborhood Assocations, attened the event and then started a little blog on it, which I found. I contacted him to see if we could really use the blog as a way to communicate in the community on implementation.
Now, www.natcapsarasota.org is available for us to use as a forum. Let's see what we can do with our human capital in Sarasota County! Laura
